Green beans are a food that has a high protein content, prevents cancer, diabetes and if you eat too much green beans you will not have problems with weight. Benefit from this vegetable full of vitamins, that you can found in every market. We can maintain or even improve our health if we eat beans because of the trace elements, beta carotene, vitamins A, B and C and lots of needed minerals.

Nutrition studies have shown that beans have many curative uses, which many people do not know about. A diet for several months with beans, consumed four times a week, reduce by 22% the risk of cardiovascular diseases. If we regularly eat green beans we will not absorb too much sugar, due to its high content of fiber.


Prevents colon cancer:

Rich content of vitamins and pigments in green beans protects our body from intestinal cancer. Fibers found in green beans cut by half the risk of developing colon cancer.

Prevents osteoporosis:

Being rich in vitamin K, green beans keeps our bones in good condition. According to some studies, concluded that in postmenopausal women who consumed foods with a high percentage of vitamin K, the risk of osteoporosis is quite small, as well as the risk of bone fractures.

Memory improvement:

Vitamin B1 contained by green beans is important in maintaining normal brain activity and memory, thereby preventing the occurrence of Alzheimer’s disease.

Regenerating out liver:

Boiled green beans are excellent in cases of chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis. Doctors recommend for these patients to consume at least 200 grams of green beans every day.


Strengthens the immunity system:

By eating beans our immune system will be improved. People prone to infection or tumor disease should consume at least two days a week a serving of green beans. This is because green beans contains vitamins and flavonoids that have a beneficial role on the immune system.

Regulates blood pressure:

Magnesium and potassium in pods of green beans have a role in treating hypertension. Consumption of 300 grams of beans a day for a month, prevents heart attack or stroke that can occur in severe cases of hypertension.

Note: People with kidney stones should not eat beans, because it contains salts of oxalic acid, which are prohibited in this disease.
