To prevent and combat menopausal disorders, you should be aware of some recommendations regarding your diet.

Eat less red meat and choose chicken, turkey or fish, this is especially recommended for women of menopausal age. Also, reduce consumption of sugar and fat and include fruits and vegetables in the daily menu. Soy is very good, because contains phytohormones. Drink as little alcohol and coffee because these are exciting and can aggravate the problem. It is important to sleep well. Go to bed before 23 o’clock and always take dinner with at least 2 hours before bed time to avoid weight gain. Drink plenty of fluids, and to eliminate toxins drink a glass of water before going to sleep. Certain foods help the body to produce estrogen. These are eggs, alfalfa, garlic, parsley, sage, milk and its derivatives, potatoes, cherries, tomatoes and Brussels sprouts.

Herbal Remedies:

Lucerne: Put a teaspoon of crushed herb to 250 ml of boiling water. Cover for 15 minutes, then strain. You can drink up to 3 cups per day. It is a very useful remedy if you feel tension in the abdomen or genitals.

Chasteberry (Vitex Agnus Castus): Scald a teaspoon of minced plant with 250 ml of boiling water. Cover for 15 minutes, then strain. You can drink 3 cups per day.

Hawthorn (Crataegus Monogyra): Scald a teaspoon of crushed plant with 250 ml of boiling water. Cover for 15 minutes, then strain. Drink 3 cups per day.

Quackgrass (Agropiron Repens): A teaspoon of crushed root is placed in 250 ml of water and boil for 5 minutes, then strain. Discard the water. Place another water over the plant and boil again for 5 minutes. Strain and consume 3 cups per day. Drop a little baking soda in the cup before drinking.

Motherwort (Leonorus Cardiaca): Scald a teaspoon of crushed plant with 250 ml of boiling water. Cover for 15 minutes, then strain. Can be consumed 3 cups per day. It is a good general sedative.

Other Remedies Using Food:

Soybeans (Glycine Max): Can be consumed in different meals. It contains phytoestrogens.

Red wine: Red wine is a very efficient remedy, but drink only small amounts of 50 ml, three times daily.

Polyphenol from grapes: Neutralizes the effect of free radicals, the main cause of plaque in blood vessel walls. Also this will make he blood thinner, preventing clots. It also contains vegetable dyes and tannins that prevent deposition of cholesterol and vessels sclerosis. The recommended maximum amount is 300 ml per day.
